  hmm.. gonna be 18 soon, so i'm getting myself a new mobile plan and hopefully a new phone, just asking.. what do you guys look out for when buying a new phone? camera? video? 3G? scheduler?

  I'll be getting a new phone within 2-3 months from now.
  
  My requirements change from time to time, depending on what I need. Some major items are: price, size, brand, able to have chinese SMS, voice dial, performance (eg. any lag), battery life.
  
  Now that my digital camera has broken down, a 1.3 megapixel camera phone may be nice too.
  
  For more detailed information, there is a very good local website with reviews for many phones. I say its good because they actually test the phones and give their personal opinions, which can often be different from what the manufacturers advertise.

  lol.. i dun see much diff in the phones nowadays except for their exterior design and interface.. 1.3 megapix cameras + vids + bluetooth and many other stuff seems like a commodity now.. =x

  i think no point buying 3G phones now unless you're too rich and dunno where to spend your money!! what's the point holding one when none of your friends is using it? besides, i'm sure the price will drop in a few months time...that's when everyone starts changing theirs into 3G.
