Just check out the complains section in hardwarezone.com.sg's forum and choose the one with the least complains. You will still get back to a few brands. -

This one(Dell Inspiron 6000) is also now currently under consideration...it is much cheaper than the Toshiba model, but it also has less storage
Plus whole thing is made from plastic, so it is more fragile...
