Winxp, cannot copy,clone to another computer

hey i bought original winxp and installed onto my computer
now i also wanna put that winxp on my bro's com by directly cloning the harddisk and transferring the while OS there but it gives a "hardware error". i tink this is because they locked the CD key onto specific computer
is there any "Friendly way" to directly copy?
i checked many websites liao but cannot find any way to do this
and unfornately for me, i lost my cd key liao
expert pls help!

Hmm.. my computer can lea. cos last time my com always kanna virus, bring to reformat waste $$, so the installer ask me get a $50 hard-disk put in to my exsisting computer, cut & paste/drag & put to another hard-disk, works for me, i using window xp pro.Mayb u try take , but if cannot dun scole me, or mayb is mine computer set lik tat can transfer to & fro already liao?Originally posted by HanHao:hey i bought original winxp and installed onto my computer

ya my computer also no need the cd key when transfer. -

Then you can just put in the PC name and PC specific drivers after that. -

Why you clone the HDD? Just make another direct cd copy. Always works for me.

You can still get online using the other comp right? Get online and find a key generator or crack to go with the copy.
