Bangkok->calypso cabaret price increase?

  Hi,
  
  Need to check with those who just came back from BKK, if the rates for calypso cabaret at asia is increase.
  
  I just went to website and found that the cost of watching calypso cabaret 1hr15mins is $1000BH per pax.
  
  Is there any way i can get better offer?

  have u ever watch any of thailand's cabaret shows b4. if u have, give this a miss... they are all the same to me. asia hotel's one is very up close to the stage but i have seen better and grander ones....cant remember where though and not sure if they still exist.

  Actually, i am not very interested to watch the show, more into shopping....
  But bring my parents there, so thinking of bring them there.

  Many years ago, it was about 750-800 baht. After they moved (since about 5 years or more ago), it was always 1000 baht.
  
  At some travel agencies, they may charge you 1000 baht too....but they may include transport to and fro.
  
  If its your parents' first time seeing such things, its worth it. After all, why go all the way just to save a few dollars? The Calypso is the best ah qua show in Bangkok anyway.
  
  (There are other good ah qua shows....but they are not in Bangkok).

  I heard u can get the tickets at a cheaper price beside the building. It's a travel agency or something. If you are there, just try it lor.
