If you can opt out the 56K modem, by all means, I think that'll save you 10 bucks. Their 56K modems always have compatability issues with XP pro. Dunno why, could be just me. Thats why I'm still stuck with XP home, coz the modem is an integral part of my work. Tried umpteen times to upgrade to pro, but there are times you just have to say :I give up!".

I'm using a Acer TM now.
You've got to know what kind of applications you're using and get one laptop suited for your daily work.
Getting a Ferrari is just novelty.
Nothing exciting about it since it has been in the market for a year. -

Try HP or toshiba they are good in quality. Acer is cheap and value for money if those who are in tight budget and thinking of having a laptop.

$3500 ... on accer notebook .....
i rather get a sony or fujitsu laptop even better ....... and last longer -
