Three out of four S'poreans leave love to the stars

In a recent survey conducted by the dating agency, Two to Tango, 75 per cent of the 170 singles surveyed indicated they would "let fate decide" whether they would tie the knot.
Only one out of four of the participants, between the ages of 20 and 59, expressed interest in seeking professional help to find an eligible mate through a dating agency.
Only two per cent of the respondents have actually used a dating agency. Nor were friends and family especially keen to hitch up singles with dating agencies.
Sixty-two per cent of the respondents said they would leave their single friends to their own devices rather than urge them to find an agent for love - such as Two To Tango, It's Just Lunch or Lunch Actually. Such agencies charge a fee to arrange lunch dates for members.
Two To Tango co-founder Jane Tay said: "It is insightful to discover that although we are a very cosmopolitan nation, with many resources on romance and dating, many of us adopt conventional concepts of romance and many dating and romantic places here have yet to be discovered."
When asked if regular, government-led romance campaigns were making Singaporeans any more romantic, 53 per cent responded that they were not especially romantic, 38 per cent felt that Singaporeans were romantic and 9 per cent were undecided.
Respondents agreed that singles between the ages of 30 and 39 - men and women equally - were in the most dire need of assistance from dating agencies.
