Hi,
1) What's the difference between mousse, hair gel and hair wax?
2) Look below, observe the hairstyle carefully :
Is it possible to comb this kind of hairstyle at home or do we need some special help from the salon? Notice that the hair can actually stand up to the max, but yet, they're not or totally spiky-hard. In fact, the hair is like natural!
Any advice or hair experts to help me?

it is standing to e max and spiky hard, but becoz of the hair color it doesnt seem to be spiky hard..juz get some salon hairstylist to style for u or spike urself..v easi..practice makes perfect....just spike strand by strand and use a comb occasionally to 'smooth' out the hair that stick together
if ur looking for that kinda hairstyle, look no further. use clay or mud. forget about gel or mousse coz it gives a 'shiny' look...i presume u want jap/casual hairstyle? he he...have fun exploring ur hair bro -
think u make the hair all stand first... then try to roughen it up so it doesnt occur as spikes??? dunno.. got long hair so cannot spike.. haha...

1) But clay or mud? Are you serious? I do agree that gel and wax makes it look too spiky and un-natural, but is there really such a thing called "hair clay" and mud?
2) Lastly, do you think neighbourhood/shopping mall salons can do this? Or must I go to those Orchard Road high-flyers salons like David Gan's Passion salon?

Most salons at Far East should be able to do it. In fact, almost any salons can.

i think any salon can, but note is *salon* not those aneh barber aka sri nada hehe..
by clay and mud i meant wax also...wax is also great for that kinda hairstyle and yeah...u can buy clay or mud in salons. it's more expensive than wax thoough. cheers

1) In your opinion, is it expensive to get into a salon to do these hairstyles? Should I expect to pay more than S$80?
2) In your opinion, is it possible to make such hairstyle permanant? So that when you sleep and wake up, the hairstyle is still there etc.

haha...it is not worth it...get a box of wax and u can easily do it up for $7.90 if u know how...but if u have the money y not?
sadly, it is not possible! haha...seriously, each day muz spend alot of time doing up this kind of hairstyle..no such thing as wake up got this hairstyle liao...u shampoo and wash ur hair it sure will flatten liao what...next day wake up shit hair again..must style style style -

But what's the main differences between clay/mud and wax?
Will it give the hair firmer hold? Or will it smell nicer and is healthier to the hair?

so troublesome. my method is simpler.
just poke one of your fingers into the dc wall socket. after that pour gold paint over your head.
all done in a few minutes.

By the way, don't the girls think that such a hairstyle is real cool, especially when done properly and professionally?
Such hairstyles are more suitable for guys with those sharper/longer face shapes.
