I used also to sing during work because the thing we do is very routine and monotonous... will fall asleep if you don't sing or talk but I do so in my mind or softly to myself only.
Actually if her voice is good, I won't mind her singing when working. Add some sound to the environment is better than dead silence from the time start work to go home. -

i got a colleague who whistle non-stop! and it is so damn loud and irritating. i sit quite far also can hear. those sit near him, i cannot imagine!!
