Colouring hair. Need how much time?

  I just coloured my hair. It took me three hours just to colour (no cutting, no steaming). Was 3 hours too long???? I don't remember having to sit for so long in a hair salon for that service.

  yes.. mine took me 5 mins to do.. and 45 mins to wait.. that was when i did it myself.. when i did it at a hairdresser, it took an hour or so

  or perhaps ur hair is thick....
  so den tok more time?
  i normali take abt 2 or 3 hrs....
  include wash + cut + "treatment"(actually is conditioner for coloring hair)......

  Did you spend 3 hours at the salon or at home (DIY)?
  
  When I do mine at home, its usually 30-45 minutes.
  
  When I go to the salon, its also 30-45 minutes only.
  
  (Both are for dyeing only......no cutting, no nothing else).

  But how can you leave hair dye on for 3 hours? Your hair will be dried and turned to powder!

  Yes. It can take more than 3 hours. Especially if it involve dyeing and highlighting and washing, cut and treatment.
  
  Hair can stand just sitting there waiting for it to end.
