Thanks pal...was always wondering that. The first one scared me real well, but I was a cute kid back then (I'm a cute old man now). And yes, I heard it was based on a true story too.

the first one scared you? i heard the first one that they made wasn't scary enough so they sort of re-mixed it and this one came out.Originally posted by gentlerock:The first one scared me real well, but I was a cute kid back then...
I went to see it because when I was young, it made me had nightmares for 3 months. So, now as a 30+ adult, I went back to see it again...this time I just treat the scary parts as hollywood spin - they have to because if they follow the book, then it is slow and boring. Anyway, I personally think too much spin was applied to the story.Originally posted by gentlerock:AIEEE!

Well, I was very young when I saw the first one. Can't remember when....probably in my early teens.Originally posted by tut4nkh4m3n:the first one scared you? i heard the first one that they made wasn't scary enough so they sort of re-mixed it and this one came out.
I can't really remember the first one anymore, but I'd probably feel the same way as you. We are from the same age group, I think.Originally posted by Xprobe:I went to see it because when I was young, it made me had nightmares for 3 months. One other thing - i thought Jody was a pig-like creature and not the little dead girl and I didnt get the idea that the house was a torture chamber of a demonic spanish reverend in the first movie?
Yeah. They didn't really follow the book.Originally posted by Xprobe:I went to see it because when I was young, it made me had nightmares for 3 months.
