you're sure to get a scare. this is the second movie they're making, the first one was screwed.
watch it guys, just reading the book is enough to make your hairs stand. -

I went to see it because when I was young, it made me had nightmares for 3 months. So, now as a 30+ adult, I went back to see it again...this time I just treat the scary parts as hollywood spin - they have to because if they follow the book, then it is slow and boring. One other thing - i thought Jody was a pig-like creature and not the little dead girl and I didnt get the idea that the house was a torture chamber of a demonic spanish reverend in the first movie? -

I can't really remember the first one anymore, but I'd probably feel the same way as you. Obviously, the "pig" wasn't scary enough to have a part in the movie.
The flies also had a bigger part in the book than just flying out of the vent in the movie.
Bloody storeroom (?) with the inverted cross (?) - not in there too.
I don't recall reading anything about what evil reverand and such.
Then again, I read the book in the 80s. Can't remember much of the details anymore.
I look at the movie and it reminded me more of The Shining where Jack Nicholson goes on a rampage. -
the 1st one was better at building an overall sinister mood, this latest one is just a lot of hollywood and high tech tricks, in the book, they fled when one night they found the children sleeping in mid-air and the walls start to bleed
