Complain against housing agents.

  IEA can't do a thing cos that bastard is not a member, IRAS can't do a thing cos there's no law governing how housing agents run their business. HDB says nothing to do with them. How????

  Why didn't you choose an accredited agent in the first place then?
  
  It's a common problem in the industry, but sadly, no one bothered to take notice after reading umpteenth times in the news...
  
  Now that it has already happened, maybe u can try asking CASE or SCT (Small Claims Tribunal) for help? Not sure if they are the right bodies, but they would give good referrals, i suppose...

  make a complaint to that agent company lor, they are sure to take actions to appease you...

  Basically be wary of ppl who are in the sales and marketing profession. Afterall they earn their rice bowl using their mouth. They can talk a lot and very well but at the end of the day, it is your money in the pocket that they are after.
  
  Be cautious and try not to be too drawn to their explanation or reason. Keep an open mind. The best is you know frens in the same profession and then you will be at a better advantage to know the standard "tricks" they use to get money.

  In short, this agent suppose to do all the errands, end up I do. He just show up during 1st appointment at HDB, standing there like a piece of stiff! I don't feel good about paying him commission. His company can only say sorry and nothing else!
  
  My advice, always choose an housing agent who is also member of IEA. That's the only assurance should he screw up things.

  Maybe you can try to bring up your dissatisfaction to the legal department of the company and request for a cut in commission?
