HDB flat rent prices

I'm coming to Singapore to study for 4 months. I don't have any idea about reasonable HDB flat prices, so I would be grateful if someone could tell me little about reasonable prices.
Apartment should locate at Tampines or Pasir Ris and it should have only 1-room and it should also be furnished.
I got an agent from school who will help me to find apartment, but I would like to know little myself so he will not take too much money from me. I'm just poor student

1 room should be about 250-400....

unless your talking about squatters and ghettos.. -
It's lot's of nicer to sleep in a bed than on a floor and wash your clothes with washing machine than wash them in a sink (or do you have cheap places where you can wash your clothes in Singapore, like public laundries). it'd be best if u can stay in the hostels or even with your friend.. being a tenant is cooler too

An entire HDB flat can be rented out provided the owner has met some conditions. The common ones are:
1) Stayed more than 5 years at the flat and has fully paid up their HDB loan
2) Stayed more than 10 years at the flat (if loan is not fully paid up)
3) Owners is overseas -
one question.. why only 4 months?
