HIV- The Hot Topic in Town Now

All the recent publicity in the newspaper and the TV documentary shows the HIV is very much alive and kicking and worst spreading like wild fire in Singapore...
last night watch the Channel U documentary and really shocking that people in their teens are also getting infected by HIV...
Since the cure for HIV or should I say vaccine for HIV is still far away, really pray for those souls who still takes the gamble...but no matter what, must use condom... -
I didn't watch the TV programme last night. Did they say how these teens got it? I mean from what kind of people?
Using a condom does increase safety, but doesn't guarantee full safety. I mean cuts and tears in the skin, oral sex, etc.....these all carry some chance of transmission too.
One of the problems of HIV, I find, is insufficient consistent information. Take for example transmission by oral sex.....some say yes, some say no, some say maybe, some say yes but not likely, some say highly not......the only ones who are honest are those who say "I don't know". So many contradictions, so many Indian chiefs.
Also, I feel that new information is not updated regularly and are not detailed enough. -

seriously i think it is a growing problem in our society...insufficient information doesn't mean you can be ignorant about it...there's tons of information on the internet...
with all those PRC chicks roaming around in Geylang every night, the Vietnamese girls in Joo Chiat, the never ending Tui Na shop opening everywhere....its a fact these places offers special service...by having such places, the temptation to our youngesters and not so young are there...worst is if they pick up any STD or HIV and passed it on to their wives and children...and you have a tragic story again...
the statistic are alarming...everyday, 4 to 5 Singaporean got it...hust go down to DSC Clinic or Afa Clinice every Wednesday and Saturday and you can see the long q...don't be surprised those queing up to get tested are very chio bu or handsome guys... -
