There is also a letter from her, trying to clarify herself. Good try but the damage is done.
Fancy a scholar to make such statements ? How can she be so bold and sweeping ? With one blow she hit at all the men (young and old) who have had served their National Service since our Independce Day.
Probably she was referring to her boyfriend when she said, "Once they enter NS they complain a lot. I didn't know that guys could talk about the most minute things". A young woman, based on her very limited experience in life, has insulted almost all the men in Singapore. I feel this is worse than the other scholar who was accused of racialism in one of his postings.
To our dear Ms Chng ----- Think, girl before you speak. There are better men (yes and more aggressive ones too) than those very few that you know, or you think you know. And don't say sorry only after you have utter senseless remarks. Your little circle of friends, scholars or otherwise, does not represent the whole Singapore. -

honestly I don't know why people are getting so worked up about what she wrote in her blog. It is her personal blog for goodness sake! Where is the freedom of speech nowadays?
