HEY IF NOT WITH THESE FILIPINO MAIDS WOULD THE SINGAPOREANS HAVE A CLEAN HOUSE. MY QUESTION IS ... Y DO SINGAPOREANS HIRE THESE MAIDS? Y,,, BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO CLEAN THEIR OWN HOMES, CLEANLINESS IS NOT ON THEIR LIST... NOT OFFENDING ALL SINGAPOREANS BUT I VISITED A CHINESE FRIEND AND WHOAH... The last part is the most ironic and laughable:
[b]She said: Philippines is Asia's top-spot for shopping.
I almost laugh my lung out. Top spot for shopping in Asia?
My foot. Manila has not skyline, no Akihabara, no Shanghai bun, no Dong-dae-mun. It's just third-world country famous for its maid export.
Correction: Philippines is Asia's top-spot for domestic maid export.

Have u been to the Philippines?Originally posted by curio t:The thing is what she said is simply untrue. It's basically bulls and she is lying her way through, thinking she can sell herself well before the judge. Not a chance, bimbo!
Philippines has nv been SE Asia's (let alone Asia) top spot for shopping. Why is she making such a lame statement that need righteous net citizens like me to point it out? If you say HK or Bangkok are one of Asia's top-spot shopping haven, most pple would have agreed. But Philippines? They have weak currency, cant compete with other countries' export/import strength, the population weath strata is so extreme. So what is there left to shop for the common people? Rattan basket? Dried mango? (plentiful there i know)
Maybe, she has nv been to anywhere outside Philippines. She got to go to some real shopping havens in Asia. Come to Singapore. It's the nearest. That will change her statement.
Btw, in the first part of the interview, she was saying soemthing like this "leading in the communication sphere". Is she referring to her country? That is another bimbo statement. As if i-mode/ 3G is so common there. hahaha
just this already proved you are not humble.Originally posted by forfun_cash:at least i'm one of those humble ones .

No offense but i think the real reason why Singaporeans hire maid is not because they do not know how to clean their homes. Is more likely because they are too busy working (both husband and wife) and got no time to take care of their young kids and clean their homes. I personally have a filipino maid of 14 years. She took care of my family's household chores and took care of my sister and i. I am 20 now and i am grateful to her for taking care of my family all these years. My dad also sponsored her operation back in the philippines and she offered to work for free after that. But my family declined her. Anyway i suppose u are filipino too?Originally posted by ritzbitz:[b]
