  But my gf lives quite far from there.
  So wonder is there any shops in the central or in the tampines area?

  No SHOP. But there's a push cart called Emiko or something. Sells cross stitches and stuff.

  Emiko is a push cart. Bishan Junction 8 have it. Basement or is it 1st floor?
  
  Tampines mall is uh, 2nd or 3rd floor. Price is reasonable.
  
  Spotlight's price is VERY PRICEY.

  Extra, go century square lobby. There is a push cart outside metro near the escalator. Will be there till June 29. They have cross stitch and also needle punch. Check it out.
  
  Spotlight Tampines already closed down early May. No more. Only left the branch in Singapore Plaza.
  
  Also can go to Blk 505 Tampines Central shophouses outside Shop N Save Blk 506. There is a shop there selling lots of cross stitch stuff.

  People's Park Centre, Golden Dragon Store (Jin Long).
  
  There's another one at Chin Swee Rd, Level 1, Manhatten House. They have a lot of precious moments cross stitch.
