weird problem with win xp. need help.

something is wrong with my win xp.
i have an administrator account and a guest account on my win xp.
only my admin account is password protected as it is for my personal usage.
the guest account was meant for friends. coz i dun wan them to mess around with my com.
ok, here is the problem. when i tried to log into my admin account after i start the com, it kept telling me i gave the wrong password. i am very sure i enter it correctly.
but the strange thing is... after many tries, i gave up and i log into the guest account which is not password protected. from the guest account, i switch to admin account. i enter the password and it accept.
why? what happened?
why cant i go log in to my admin account directly now? now i have to log into guest account then switch to admin account. -

mine originally using XP SP2...until I so frustrated that I reformat everything and reinstall XP with just SP1 -

without my permission they will on my pc and mess around with it. i dun like my pc to be messed around with mah. -
disable the guest account....go computer management and create and customize a limited user account which can provide limited access....
sp2 is ok now....unless u are into software development or network related work, not much hassle.
