It's not the gender, but the age. I feel that the young kids nowadays are very vain and immature. They are very unlike the people of our era. In our days, we discussed about current affairs and world issues. The young kids don't even know who's their education minister.

Sorry if i phrased my words wrongly.. i think maybe you guys don't get what I'm talking about...
It's like.. if you're into making friends/bf/gf.. you wanna make friends with pretty /handsome people only...and e.g if you've been talking to some unknown stranger from the net...you'll ask for their pictures before meeting them.. just incase they do not turn out to be what you expected them to be...
I saw a couple of posts in forums sayin " Wah lau..that outing was a fluke.. she didn't look like what I saw in the photo...I couldn't help feeling like "putting her areoplane" when I saw her.. jialat... bad outing for me.."
Another example would be... If you watched that 9.15pm show "yuan lai jiu shi ni" on channel U.. They always ask those girls and guys how they want their partner to be...
"Good looking" is one of the most mentioned qualities.....
So....
I shall conclude... with a question..
Guys or Girls? Who's more bothered with looks when it comes to finding friends/gf... -

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought societial pressure and education is the culprit?
In sg, there are certain criteria that must be present in the opposite sex that is ingrained into our psychology due to the bombardment of the media etc.
