you can try pet safari or goodwill birds trading. mine was a cinnamon pied. so sad when it died man. raised it from chick, no feathers at all, till 1 yr +
i guess to prevent a TRAGIC case like mine is to control the amount of attention you give it, so at least when you really are indeed busy, it wont be the end of the world for the birdy... and then also familiarise it with people with whom you might leave it with should you travel... otherwise you come home from honeymoon and get a fright man!

Once at the Bird Shop at Telok Blangah.I saw cockatiels then with broken wing,Neck infection and others & the Bird Shop at Jurong West which has cockatiels which has botak heads.
Personnally,I wouldn't buy from these shops.Moreover the shop owner at Jurong west quoted me $90 for each cockatiel.I also asked him where the birds are from.He replied that he doesn't know the source.

Gal twenty let me tell u if u want to keep tiels. Some of them can be noisy especially the tame hand bred ones
I had a cockatiel for a long time ago that was just like one of the family. He would climb out of his cage using a little plastic ladder and wander around the house. He would sing the Mr Rogers theme song. He was an excellent pet. But he choaked on a piece of cuttlebone and died.
