Sudden increase in sightings of huge moths?

Anyone wants to report on their sightings on the huge ass moths that recently sprung up from thin air? Also, can anyone suggest explainations to their arrivals? Try not to give the "visiting" crap as a reason lar.

this one freaked my bro out when he was studying his O lvl chinese.
this was together with the mantis in his room. after that i think he no mood to study liao.
and this was at outside the lift.

moths also have june holidays.

they're harmless.. used to see them a lot when i was young...
and i think it's a sad indication that people are freaked out by insects... we have become totally and utterly urbanised that such harmless things are feared by people

i saw one big moth at my lobby there...stayed there for 2 days already..dunno if still around or not..
maybe its their mating season...so all gather in singapore...hahha

and hey.. i like insects.. some of them are yummy
seriously, i've not seen the moths for ages.. it's good to see them around again...
but they have such limited lifespans, seeing a few of them struggle then die, it's kinda sad... -
