The traditional dragon then got many strokes, the simplified one is so easy to write even 3 year olds know -

That's true. Check the dictionary(some) they will show you how the first source of words derive from the elements itself. It was some basic drawings at first. gu wen, wen yan wen can only be found in past literary works.....
ppl dun tok nor write like that now.....
