maybe u could go and practice ur tuck jump (u jump whereby ur knee close to ur chest) or go and jump the steps.Originally posted by spencer99:Hi All,
I am a NSman. I am doing my IPPT in a month's time. I do cardio exercises and some weight training on the upper body. I think I am very fit for my age.
I have no problem passing IPPT, but I only get Silver. The reason is because of my board jump. I can only jump around 2.1m only. My 2.4 is below 10:15 (gold timing) easily....
Even in my best NSF years, I can only jump 2.2m. and Prior to my NS in JC, i can barely clear 2 metres.
I had seen my fellow NSF and NSmen, who look unfit / heavy / weak / short and then can like jump 2.4m+ without any effort.
How do they do it? I would really like to get a Gold this year.... the $400 and the pride is very enticing.
What is the "technique"? What can I do?

well, if hiring a PT really helps, i think it's a small sum to pay... not for the extra $200 every year, but more psychologically -- for the ego and solution to a problem that probably has plagued him for years.Originally posted by charlize:Well, if you are going to pay hundreds of $ for a personal trainer just to get $200 more for your IPPT, then I think you need to re-do your sums.![]()
