  I use AA Energizer rechargeables. The silver with green line ones.

  the bad thing about rechargeable batteries is that, after a full charge u must immediately use it. if u just put them down there, after few days, the power will automatically drop.

  my gp batteries will 'lose' their power when i put them in the cupboard after fully charged...

  ya. GP batteries are cocked up. when fully charged and used a few weeks later, it'll be low batt. but den when tried to charge it again, it's fully charged.

  have seen some 2500mAh...think is sanyo n GP. what about duracell rechargeables?

  when using the gp charger, how do u know whether the batteries are already fully charged? there's no indicator leh

  go get this battery power tester. i got one, very useful, can be used to test how much power is left by looking at the LED (green, orange and red).

  rechargeable batteries more economical in a long run if u r using mp3 players, digital cameras, mobile music playback equipment, high powered torch light or lightinig equipment etc. with full discharge and recharge cycles of 500-1000 times, they are more efficient to be used soon after a full charge and its life prolonged after a full/ near full discharge cycle to drain out all the existing power in it to prevent 'memory' effect. dun take your bet on NiMh rechargeable batt being memory effect proof. the numberings on the battery physical is the capacity of the power of that battery when fully charge. the higher the number..the more power it can store and run an equipment 92300mAH >850mAH. it is true that if you charge them fully and leave it unused for a while it will drain out eventually. for new batteries undergoing a few charging and discgharging cycles....the rate of loss is lower. as the battery grows older after more cycles...u will notice a shorter life span when powering your equipment and it drains out faster when left untouched.
  
  dun ask me how i know because i believe in getting the batteries, using them and making a judgement myself. rechargeable batteries are also more environmental frendly as it cuts down wastes whenever an alkaline battery is being used and not properly recycled or disposed of causing pollution to the environment.

  The Sony CycleEnergy charger only takes 15 mins to charge 4 batteries. is that cool or what?

  There is another brand, Varta , 15 mins charger too. Its high capacity batteries are preferred by photographers. It is considered as the ferraris of rechargables. But usually such 15mins charger by any brand, can only charge up to 80 % of the batteries capacity. Group of users that require such fast chargers are usually photographers on assignments or underwater photographers. And there are 900Mah AAA rechargables now by sanyo.

  I have used GP and frankly its lousy, after using for a few times, it needs to be recharge very frequently and after awhile I just discard them.
  
  Sanyos are so far the best, been using them on Canon A70 and no problem thus far.
  They have the new 2500mAH, now selling around S$18 for 4pcs AA.
  
  As for charger I am using the MAHA charger.
