Window expert user here?

I' m using Window XP. My Window always hang after sometimes. The mouse stops moving and the screen freezes and have to power off/on to get it running. Anyone able to tell me what is the problem?
I have checked 'control panel->power option' and update Window's patch.

could have been a h/w failure. i.e RAM, motherboard, etc....

From the lack of information you have provided it is difficult to tell however it could be one of the following
Virus
Driver problems /conflict -

But hardware problems do cause pc freezes. -

I always attribute such problems to ram failure.

Vrius scan (norton 2005) scan less frequent, maybe once a month. -
how old is your notebook?

Its ur ram..perhaps u have spywares/adwares/ram parasite programs running

Try spybot for spyware and uninstall and reinstall your mouse driver

You need a laptop expert, not a windows expert. Try to run a reformat and clean install of the recovery and see if it still the same. If it's not it could be a device conflict or software conflict. If it still is then probably you could check your warranty to see if you are still covered.

errrr, go haf it seen by a com repaiman. or get a new one and trade in the old one. and shun bian buy 1 512ram and put it in. liddat u wont be out of date with the com world.

maybe u have programs running at startup..like p2p programs, antivirus, messenger..etc..try disable them if u dont use them.
