hp found, would u keep or return it?

i've just lost my precious 6170 on friday night.. after frantic bus chasing and running, i couldn't find it and it only travelled for as far as 5 more bus stops. heart aches for the info left in my phone and of cos the phone..
anyway, if u found a unattended hp at any places, would u pick it up and return to its rightful owner or keep it (irregardless of its market value)??
never had such luck of finding a lost hp so far, but this lesson, im sure i'll return to its owner. -

if tt person call, then arrange time and place to return to him/her loh
no call means tt person maybe dun want liao, or can't be bothered.....

I have lost 3x hanphones!
Twice on a cab and once in a gym that i am a member! they are NEVER found....
So terrible... all the contacts are lost...
my other half lost her handphone before in orchard cinelesiure cinema..... apparently, it fell out of her bag in the cinema and she didn't even realize it...
and the founder (a guy) is very kind....
he called some numbers in the phone (ended up reaching her brother) and tell her brother that he found her phone and is going to deposit it at the box office.
Her brother called me on my cell and we retrieved the hanphone from the box office... no chance even to thank that guy.....

I lost my wallet 6 times..........every time came back with my cards, bank cards, etc..only one time it came back without the cash in it..I think cos i lost it in amusement arcade

Owner sounds like a chiobu.
I'll return it. And take this golden opportunity to find a GF.

Owner sounds like an Ah Beng OR no call after 24 hours.

recently lost 1 and borrowed one from relative temp... and lost his also... so pai seh...
all are quite "old" phones... but that is not the pt mah... have to find out and enter the contacts again.... -

bo chap. last time found one in sch toilet. lousy hp, think nokia 2100, belongs to some malay beng also. worthless and troublesome to keep it, so just left it there. den think some adults attending the night classes kapo it.

Yes, I will return it.
Just call the last few numbers the owner called and you should be able to traced the owner. If not, just return to the correct telcom and I am sure the telcom will ask the owner to come and collect. -
hmm .. i found 1 hp i think nokia 8210 .. then i kept it .. i said to myself .. if no one claims it .. then mayb i keep .. after 2 hrs then they came back ..so i returned .. lol ..
but then again .. i would call n return ba .. if i found 1 on streets .. it is morally right too -
Hold on to it, wait for the person to call.
If he still hasn't called after one day, look through the address book. See if there are any family contacts (e.g. 'Home' or 'Ah Pa', etc, etc.....). If there are, I'll call one of these contacts and explain as best as I can that I've found a handphone.
Either way, I'll make arrangements for the owner to come and meet me to pick up the phone. -

I guess if I really pick up a lost phone, there will be an angel and a devil hovering around my brain straightaway.
I think it will depend on how tempted I am at that moment. And it depends on how old and faulty my own phone is at that time. -
when i saw a hp...i will c situation...if no one saw me picking...then i will keep it...if got ppl saw me taking it...then...MAYBE...i will return back...anyway my personal view is...when i lost mine....no one will return me...trust it...NO ONE will...or maybe those r greedy kind...so i tell myself since they don return me y shud i return to them...lol...so i keep lo...
