  Zzzz... having problems with cable... suddenly will go off... and then dc... anyone know how to fix?

  I am using ADSL with singnet. Also experience some slowness in speed. I heard it got to do with some underocean cable being cut.

  Think Starhub giving some excuse that currently they upgrading their cables so sorry for the slow down.

  Call up the service provider, hold on to the telephone line until you get to the human operator / technical assistance. Tell the operator / technical assistance your problem and demand an answer / solution. Follow-up with an e-mail to confirm your complaint.

  I am having the same problem, after months of starhub blamming the router i had (fulbond) they said it was the cause and because i didnt have a starhub approved linksys router they would not help any more.
  
  Recently i replaced the router with a linksys and the d/c still occured. I called and email shithub and told them to stop pissing me arround and fix it or i will be cancelling my connection and telling everyone i know not to use starhub. They called the next day apologised for the problem still said they are gonna give one month free cable and an engineer is coming to replace the modem and do some signal strengh tests tonight.

  If I face similar problem, I will do what I said before. And I had done it before and it works. Of course it took me a full 20 minutes just to get the line through to the human operator / technical assistance on the other side.

  For that matter, with good feedback (proper complaints), the service provider can make a better decision and faster fault finding / location / repair. Remember problem may not be limited to your computer only, it could be from the networks / system.

  I thought it was in the news that Starhub said that certain maxonline users in some areas of singapore will experience problems due to cabling problems.
