Historically speaking, Chun Mei is really one of his wives. But she died young and Zheng Ban Qiao gotten another wife after her death.
Yi jie, not wife but they did have something going on...
The show is quite way off from his real life. His dad remarried after death of his mom too. Zheng Ban Qiao was already recognised during Kang Xi time. He was a civil servant from Kang Xi to Qian Long time, before retiring due to the acts of corrupted officials.
But good show. Good acting anyway. -

On and off... its not really exciting...
