just last year. their facilites are quite basic with rental of equipments ending at 6pm. that means after 6 u do nothing but walk around the lagoon.Originally posted by xwin:when u go one?
Used to own a membership there. During the hay day, there isn't much service and like someone mentioned, there is nothing to do except walk round the lagoon. For me, it was fishing that bought us there. Last time there about 1 and half years ago. Heard that not much thing left. There isn't any staff and no food to cater to you. Some one actually say it is hauted now that it is neglected.. Don't know how true so for you to find out. Maybe can post your experience here to share.Originally posted by aCid_rAIn:not so sure. but i think the money isnt well spent to go to ubin chalet. erm u can gather more feedbacks.
y nv u rent a bike and cycle around? the place quite interesting...there is also some new route that is still under construction....when to ubin last 2 months only....quite fun...due to the shortage of time....unable to go to some of the temple and the most important the aquarium..so intend to rent the chalet overnight...Originally posted by ORIGAMIST:Used to own a membership there. As for fishing, they still got good fishes if you are in for fishing. Otherwise, there is nothing much to do there. The last time, ferry for guest was last set at $8.00 or so. Now don't know how much. ... all the best to you... just in case someone ask, yes the membership was cancelled when it changed ownership to Punggol Marina... lost those monies paid....sigh ... Overall, I did enjoy the fishing there ..... not too bad I supposed..
So you haven't tried staying overnight there. Maybe one night is ok and bearable. But then again, there is nothing to do there unless you get a big group and organised BBQ. Nothing to do except watching tv. FOr me I can fish so not that bad...Originally posted by xwin:y nv u rent a bike and cycle around? the place quite interesting...there is also some new route that is still under construction....when to ubin last 2 months only....quite fun...due to the shortage of time....unable to go to some of the temple and the most important the aquarium..so intend to rent the chalet overnight...

Yes I tried cycling, swimming, kayaking etc.. but these activities is best done in the day. Wait till the night fall. Too dark to see anything or do anything worst still there are snakes around. So at night have to be very careful lor... I even tried picking durian during the season. But hell a lot of mosquitoes, I feel not worth the picking... Anyway, interest differ, like I say, go check it out and report, who know there are newer thing that I don't know. Like you say new route, damn I never knew that....
