How to get a job as an extra in Mediacorp?
After watching Missing, i think i could do a better job... -
take part in singapore idol, jue dui superstar, create a website of urself fighting some demon in yellow undies, stand outside tangs and offer to help ppl shave leg hair.......and HOPE to be talent-spotted

And i'm really serious... the disgust brought to me the low level of professionalism of the casting of the extras really makes me wonder if it is even worth to watch Singapore TV -

i think its not easy being an extra, you must know where to look, eyes cannot pa jiao or in daze, which position to take, when to point finger when something happen, cannot wear nicer than the main characters...etc

I heard that Huang Hui was an intern in Mediacorp during her attachment.. then one of the producer ask her to try out for Living with Lydia auditions, and she got it.. lucky gal.. look where she is now..
Din know dat they cancelled star search.. quite sad for star wannabe's leh. But it's abt time lah.. dun even know who won e last few Star search. Who knows where Chang Lu feng is? -

also been a ke le fair b4... wa lau.. super waste of my talents n intelligence! basically u just zombie e whole day.. director ask u to walk, u walk.. sit, u sit.. after the show was aired, can' even see face!! try to recognise me self by the clothes i was wearing.. all this for $20 n a pkt of chicken rice.
think there are management companies who specifically help source for extra for each shoot.. i think u might have to ask ard for ppl in the circle n ask them to intro u in, and add u to their database..
The other way, of course.. is to wear yellow undies, shout "Qi Long Zhu!!", and scare the shit out of fann wong on national television..

Mediacorp even managed to turn the British made Idol show into a contrived mess off a failure show ........ and all they ever do is repeat stuff that has already aired on starworld.
Thou in general the tv here suck ass big time ... if its all you know you probably think its ok but ... if you have experienced other countries you will know it sucks pretty bad.
The latest seasons of 24, CSI, Etc have not been aired in singapore yet but the most of world has started or finished showing them, yet pointless shows like american idol two channels show the episodes at the same time 3 times a day WTF -
CNA morning show just flicked it on to see how media corp is doing .... i see forst hand what you guys are talking about these two chimps must have the worst "fake" accents i have ever heard ...... ah well
