when i was young..i loved enid blyton (is dat how its spelled??)
n i loved those 'ladybird' story bks n those '365 bedtime stories' actually those stories were meant to b savoured for a yr
but i read them all in a week. (yes yesh..i was a freaky boy)
Fairy tales r really so very nice...
now i grow up n i read fantasy...David eddings, robert jordan n raymond e.fiest r moi favs now..wonder if anyone have the same fav authors as me?

I don't know if this is a fairy tale.I watched on TV and I really fell in love with it.
The title of the story if "the rose of the golden cave" or something like that.
Its a bout the story of a king who has no sons. So the youngest daughter had to go to battle to defend the family honour. She's real tomboyish like until she fell in love with a man.
Anywayz, I like the story cos she is so brave and independent. Very cool and the graphics were superb too.
Oh another fairy tale that I liked is a book titled something like "fairy tales for the modern times" can't remember the title, but its very funny

Yes! I remember the show you were talking about. I saw it on TV then too. It was a great story...with all the required elements for a fairy tale. Princess/Prince, love, heroic acts, magic, faries/witches/magical creatures, adventures...etc. Love it too! -

hmm, wierd as it sounds, my fave fairy tale is the little mermaid. not the disney one 'cos tt one's too sweet but the real story. *sobsob* i found it extremely touching.. and sad. how dif people made various sacrifices for love (mermaid for the stupid prince, and her sisters for her). always found it very poignant.. and heartwarming. *shrug* guess i always was a wierd child.
like every lil kid i grew up reading fairy tales but somehow.. never did quite connect to them. they were just too... surreal. how to believe??!! but i loved Roald Dahl.. and had practically ALLLL of enid blyton's books. was a lil nerdy bookworm *shoves glasses up hurhurhur* my fave of all roald dahl's books was.. i guess it'll have to be his autobiography.. and for stories.. matihlda? though i didnt like the ending.. too neat!
