Well, this is what I know....
Once your child is born, the umbilical cord will be sent to this place where they will store it under some device (-XX degrees C) for a period of 15 years (max).
In the event whereby the child gets diseases (e.g. leukemia)...touch wood..., it's known that this stem cells can save his/her life.
Of course this service doesn't comes free... calculated about $30 per month for 15 years. -
