He's been acquitted. Not really in the clear though. His accuser's might try a civil suit against him. That will be easier to prove. MJ though appears to also be considering suing the docu producer.

Solid evidence = written note, voice record etc.
Even if he's paid to do it, he will either get life sentence or death.
If he's really a scapegoat then he must have alibi. Otherwise, nobody can save him. -

It is my view that there is potential for a miscarriage of justice to happen anytime soon, and capital punishment should be abolished, or more people could be wrongly condemned to the gallows. -
Very hard for him to prove innocence cuz he is the one who knew where the body was hidden. Unless he could prove that someone else threw it down the hill instead of him. Also the very fact that he ran into Malaysia is not doing him any good, regardless of what he claimed (the police tortured him until he got frightened etc).
Whatever he told his family about him being innocent is also useless. He cannot use this as evidence.
Moreover, what the prosecutors gathered has been a disadvantage to him. Witnesses saw him talking to her on the night she was missing. But nobody saw her walking away from him after they talked (He claimed that he only told her to go home and gave her two mangoes).

in us the prosecuter must find evidence to show you are guilty then you can be tortured
in sg they just point finger at you, if you cannot show you not guilty you get tortured. meaning they no need prove to finger you
