Despite of the many stories heard....who has actually seen a ghost? What was it like? really like those shown in movies... girls mainly very pretty one? And really white white colour one?
Don't know if i actually saw a ghost or i was experiencing the famed "shag-cannot-think" syndrome.
Anyways...i was on an exercise and as usual, first thing to do is to dig shellscrapes. After that was done, we took turns to keep a look out for intruders...and mine came around 1-2 am? Already worn out from the digging, i decided that i'd just keep my eyes open for as long as i could, then heck care once they shut. But...while on look out, i spotted someone, rather thin, and without SBO or rifle. I found that strange, as our CSM at that time would really screw you upside down if you moved around without either, both actually.
I thought it might be my CSM, as being one so garang, we all knew he would be checking on us. Also, it was not unusual to go beyond where we were because you had to go as far as possible away from where you slept to go pee. But..it really seemed strange that this person was without his rifle or webbing, or even helmet for that matter. I decided to call out to him and look for the reaction. Besides, it could even be my CSM testing us. The figure simply stopped walking and seemingly turned to look in my direction, then continued on. After awhile, he disappeared into the bushes and i never saw him again for the rest of the 3 nights...ghost? You decide...maybe i was too tired and so was he...but...this is the army....
