Is singapore media under control?

You can try by saying defamatory comments about someone online, perhaps even your blog...See anything happen or not lah. Sometimes I wish ppl don't ask the obvious question.

for example, government pushes singaporean to have more kids recently, then suddenly i realized that TV, Ads, books all talk about having kids, pregnancy... -

Recent incidents made me thinking that everything is controlled in singapore.
for example
1) the push to have more babies in singapore: this made me sick as every singel thing nowadays is about kids, pregnancy etc ...
2) Casino: when it was announced for debate, someone told me that open casino is already decided... this is just for a show. But I don't believe him and thought that government sincerely open for debate and final decision will be made based on the feedback by public...
therefore, I just want to post this topic to confirm whether everyone has the same opinion or i'm just being paranoid. -

I was thinking that government is releasing its grips on a lot of stuff... e.g. open for debate, relaxing gambling rules, more open society..
all these are just scratches on the surface... inner has never changed? -
