Knocked onto a blind man

  A few days ago, I saw a blind man walking in front in opp direction.
  I tried avoiding him so that he could walk freely to find his way.
  But dunno why, he kept walking towards my direction and eventually he knocked onto me.
  
  Even though I apologized to him a couple of times, I still feel very bad.

  Handicapped like to be independent. You show that you feel sorry for them by helping, they don't like and some feel insulted. They like to feel normal. Besides, it's a lot better for him, if he could find the way on his own. Also if he needs help, he knows where and how to ask (cuz they have learnt to be independent already).

  I saw once at a bus interchange... a blind man swinging his walking stick frm left to right making sure he is on the correct path..
  
  a gal on the opposite direction.. trying to avoid him.. moves to the side BUT... the walking stick so accurately got in between her legs n she trip and fell flat on the floor...
  
  the blind man has a shock (as in he must be wondering what have he hit) and pause for a brief moment n move on...while the gal picks herself up n ran off

  i got "whacked" by the white cane before
  
  didn't hurt but the dude was pretty apologetic
  
  anyhoooo... i helped him to get to where he wanted to go...
  
  oh.. when leading blind people, do not grab their elbows... take their hand, and direct it to your elbow.. hold that elbow steady and that will be their guide
