...have a 75 year old grandmother as a good friend. Whats wrong with having a friends grandmother as a friend. I think Im closer to my friend's grandmother than my friend.
Because my friend's grandmother and me both share the same interest. So we can get along very well. 
She is a rich tai tai that made her money investing in the stock market
But my other friends think that it is somehow "wierd" and "not right" for me to get along with her....why is this so?

Dont think there's anything wrong with it. They feel it's weird cause their best friends are normally people near their age group or the most their parents. You got a grandmother as your best friend and I believe you are not the only one lor.

No matter if ur Best friend is a grandmother, grandfather, rich, young, innocent, married, female, male, sexuality unknown, whatever! IF ppl wanna talk bad about you, There's no stopping them.
if ur best friend is of opp sex, then they ma say u too lovers, if same sex then they may say u two gay!!!
Most Important thing is that the two of u have an understanding of ur status. u don't lead him/her on, she/he don't lead u on. and no one is taken advantage of. and u know u have no ulterior motives.... then to the hack with it!
Ppl will always gossip. let them! but don't let them run YOUR LIFE!!!!
In life It's difficult to find ppl who u can really click with and call best/good friends. Keep whatever you can find! U are luckier that u can call a grandmother ur good friend,
most of us try as hard as we can to connect with our grandparents to understand them and build a friendship... but always fall short... and to some now is too late. so treasure ur friend!!! it's a RARE find!!!
