views needed on standing-only bus

i am thinking of some ideas and would like to listen to the views of anybody as long as they are constructive........
i am like thinking of the idea of having a standing-only bus, as the name suggests there will be no seat so the passengers will have to stand. i think that this might solve the problem of over-crowding during peak hours. these buses will also operate in the other hours of the day as well so as to maximise revenue.
i would like to listen to views on these, new ideas are welcome.

might as wel increase frequency and more doubledecker standing only feasible for short journeys so not very good + i doubt it will reallyhelp to relief mroe than increasing the bus frequency and improvign bus type

last month i just broke my leg and have to be on crutches.. if the bus i taking convert to this type, i confirm curse and swear!!

For standing-only bus like very dangerous leh if the driver sudden break... i prefer sitting .. -

Good for profit maximising... but it's definately a disadvantage for us passengers... don't forget Transport fares are increasing every now and then... they can't treat us this way!!!!! LoLz

why don't you go ask the bus freaks over the bus forum and they'll have an orgasm telling you what make bus and what kind of fares such a bus will be charging.. then argue with each other over it

Actually they could reduce the stair size and build more seats -
Standing-only buses only work best at airports. We may need a few units of them when our budget terminal is up and running.

buy to increase the frenquenc will increase a greater cost...
then may be bus which adopt the mrt style...
minimise seats...maximise standing...
female only bus is an idea taken from japan anyway...
but if it is during peak hours...

Bus rt frequency majority are 20-45 mins even worst than SBS
