On my way home just last week, I passed by the common area below my flat awhere the stone tables are and to my horror, the surrounding wall was adorned with pictures of a certain god associated with a certain religion and worst there was even a statue sitting in lotus position at the top of the mail box.
I understand that hdb common area is suppose to be public.. what give these residents or whoever the right to turn the corner into a mini religious corner..
Subsequently, I wrote to the town council, complained to them and oh my..they were really slow in taking action..no reply from them, no acknowledgement..is this the way town council works?
A few days later when i passed by the same area, was happy that the statute and the pictures have been removed but there was one banner of yellow chant still there..wrote to them and get them to remove..
Yesterday..one red paper advertising zhong yuan jie was pasted next to the lift.. selfish people.. any suggestions how to get the town council to be more efficient. I hinted to them perhaps i can bring it up to MP..what u think..?
really i hate seeing the common area become a religious caven...
