4D System Roll - Easier for some people to buy their 10 numbers in a roll.
iBet - I liked this idea. You are actually proportionating your bets this time, instead of straight bets like $24, $12 etc....of course, the winnings are proportionally reduced. But straight calculations showed some facts:
Let's use the number 1123(not my number hor)
i)If you use System Bet instead of iBet, you need to spend $12, assuming you are betting all 12 permutations for $1 Big. If you strike first prize, with System Bet, your winnings is $2,000. But, with iBet, assuming you also played $12 for some reason or another, your winnings is only $1,992 ($166 x 12). Singapore Pools has earned $8 from your winnings using iBet.
ii)But of course, to address this discrepancy, they have also increased, abit slightly to the other prizes. Using the same number and betting amount, if you strike the consolation, you would have won $60. But with iBet, with a $12 bet, you would have struck $72(12 x $6). A "better" return of $12.
Of course, this "better" return is only restricted to the consolation prize. For all other prizes, System Bet > iBet. -
all said and done...
its not tat easy to get all 4 numbers correct regardless of their ordering...
at the end of the day...
you still lose money... -
But do you guys think that the percentage of winning is increased? I think it is although the winnings will not be as much...

since we are on the topic of 4D, can anyone enlighten on me this? why is that we have to line up to buy our tickets? why dun they have some DIY machines where we can select our numbers w/o having to follow 1 queue? -

Example like toto, every year, only got 1 $10million toto... zillions of pp q up to buy...even if the payout is 10million, they have already earn like 90% from your purchase..they lose only 10%, but its only once a year.. the rest of 53 weeks, they are earning 100% (dunno how many times) of it...

sigh... if u want to bet, then dun complain when u lose... no one use gun n force pple to bet... gambling on things like 4D, in my opinion, are juz ways to make life more interesting and to see if luck is with u that's all mah...
whether sg pools make money or not is really not the pt lor, and itz not as if they are using all the money to do bad deeds... even so, it first orginated from the greed of humans..
as for the machine, maybe to prevent underage pple from betting, i agree with the use of ic, juz like how the library uses our ic to keep records of the books we borrow... can may be top it off with a pwd or smthing.. juz a suggestion... -
