i think wat he mean is the real thing, but rejected bcos of some defects.
i dun think rejected goods will sell in sg in a legal way.
those rejected goods are sold in where they manufactured.
Like a cambodia, there's a "russian market" where they sell all the rejected/stolen garments. There are many garment factories there, and worker tend to steal garments out even the factory have security guards, cameras...etc. they have thier way to steal them out and sell to the market.
thing's like Levis's Jeans, GAP shirts are very common, many other brands of garments are sold there too. everything are selling at 5 to 10 USD depends on your bargain skill.
There are also fake stuffs there, but if u know how to check the tags, buttons, u can find the real stuff for cheap price. I got a pair of Levi's Jeans that says W30 but the size is actually 33(i am sure too fat for W30 Jeans). That's an example of defects which is the factory put the wrong size tag, and Levi's store will not accept such garments that affects thier image, but for me, i dun give a damn wat the size tag says, as long as it fits me it's ok. There are also other defects, like wrong color lining, wrong washing effect, etc. -

good and bad news. yes, there is a place that legally sells levi's rejecteds. if i don't remember wrongly, its a levi's store...bad news? i can't remeber which levi's store.

If you're looking for old school levi's,go check out peninsula plaza selling 2nd hand stuff which is hard to find these days.

did they cut the brand tag(the small tag inside the jeans)?
For the major garment brands, they allow factories to sell defected goods, but only after the normals goods are exported for half to one year. This is to prevent the normal goods and the defected goods of the same design to be sold at the same time(even in different countries). I did saw some shops in Chinatown selling GAP pants illegally. GAP garments are not meant to be sold in sg, they are manufactured in sg and to be sold in USA. But it's normal for local factories to do this, cos those rejected stuff cant be exported and the only thing they can do is sell them to local stores at low price, better than nothing. -
