How big is an A3 size poster?

I'm making a poster.. but not sure how big it is and if my design is too small, would it affect the resolution? can anyone advice?

so in photoshop, when i make a new proj, how big must i make it.

remember to keep it to 300dpi or you're going to get very crappy quality.

Remember the drawing paper you used in primary school art lessons? That's how big an A3 sheet is.
