Hey guys I'm going taiwan in august... would be on tour then extend about 2-3 days in taipei.
was just wondering other than the obvious places like shiling night market, ximenting, where are the must go places in taipei.
and where are the cheaper accessible hotels in taipei too??? -

1994, 1996, 1998 ( encounter earthquake when in hotel ).
Bring along a good raincoat as heavy rain with gusty wind ( maybe typhoon ) are expected during late July to Oct.
I had been to almost all part of taiwan but only 3 hours in Kao-shiong. You can try a hotel just 5 mintues walk from Taipei Railway Station.
Places must go while in Taipei:
- HARD ROCK CAFE, 1/F No. 115, Sec.3 Ming Sheng E Rd. I'll post some pictures later.......
-All night market. You can ask any taiwanese on that day where are the mobile night market as their version of our 'pasamalam' is different. Their night market seldom stay put for more than 2 nights in a row.
-All Pubs/Cafe. Very happening de. You try once you will know what I mean.
-If you want to see those Betel-Nut gals.....well you will never find one in Taipei city as their mayor Mr Ma Ink Jui is a 'anti-vice' person. He votes to clean up the whole of Taipei city which he did! ...... ..... and if you really find one, remember that you are not allow to step into the store should you want to buy any drinks or chewing gums.....you can only stand outside the store and tell the sexy lady what you want. She will bring to you.

something wrong with the pic leh.......ok never mind. Taipei Railway station is on the right. In the middle is the Taipei MRT station under constructions ( 1994 ). On the left u'll see a tall brown colour built. And that is the famous 7 storey shopping center.

You are guy or girl. Any Shopping in your agenda. If girl then Wufenpu Wholesale area. Danshui, Beitou, Gongguan Night Market, Electronics -PCs , CD, DVDs -Guanghua Electronic market.
