Why are the Male Superstars so short?

I just wondering why are those male contestants so short? I don't discriminate short guys... but in this fame seeking competition, height also plays a critical role. I have scanned thru their biodata and realized that their average height is only 1.70m! Some of them are even in the 1.60++ range...I believe Singapore male average height is around 1.73m. But only 1 guy in the contest is above 1.73m, and no others are able to reach at least 1.73m. So, is it true that Singapore shorter guys love singing and fame compared to their taller counterparts? Or the judges prefer shorter guys?
Typically, male singing stars don't need to be that tall, but should have at least a reasonable height! e.g.: 1.73m and above. Even Lin Junjie who looks quite short on the screen also has a height of 1.74m. There is definitely no wrong of been short, but at least wear clothes that make themselves look taller. They look really short on the screen with their own type of clothing.
Although they are not really tall, I enjoy listening to their singing, and some look really cute and handsome.
They are really talented, but it is just a pity that they are not tall enough. Any comment? -
is height really that important?.... dono if its true but shorter guys r often more musclar or beefy.. but taller guys r less...

Whats the point of having a 1.83m tall, Jerry Yen look-alike but who can't sing for nuts? Will u buy his CD?
The 4 heavenly Kings, except for Leon Lai, were all of average heights. Andy Lau has reigned for 20 yrs & Jacky Cheung is now God of singers--- they are no more than 1.75m
Tony Leung, 5 time Best actor is also slightly above 170m only
Tom Cruise, AL Pacino are also of average height
And the blind guy who touched me with his emotions... So utimtely, showbiz maybe a glamour parade but the winners are usually those with the character, talent & hard work -

But one cannot neglect or deny talent. Michael J Fox (around 1.7m) is one of my fav Hollywood stars. I don't know who he is until my uncle introduced his movies to me, and I enjoyed his movies very much. It was definitely his talent and acting skills that drew the attention of his viewers.
Regarding Tan Wei Lian(the blind), I respect and salute him. He is brave enough to step out and try. Furthermore, his singing is great. But how far can this lot of male superstars of an average ht of 1.7m go in this realistic and cruel showbiz? This is just my pt of view. -
Oh...Gosh...are those guys really that short???ShowBiz is indeed realistic and cruel. I also don't think they can go far... But I still hope they can make it in this showbiz.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed listening to wei lian(the blind) singing, great voice! Much better than most contestants. And his looks is not too bad for a blind. Great Work!!! Keep on trying!!! ! -
