wonder if u guys know about this.
the very small orange trees ppl put when chinese new yr, they type of orange much smaller than those we give each other on CNY.
put a layer of salt on the bottom of a glass contianer, then a layer of orange, then a layer of salt, repeat until fill up full container. Seal it real tight, dun let it "lao hong". keep for 2-3yrs, the salt will suck out all the juice from the orange and the orange will become dull brown in color. These oranges are used in some chinese dishes like steam fish. It's very salty if u keep it sealed long enuff.
when i have sore throat, i will take out one and put in a glass of water. stir and drink all. Effect even better if put the orange in my mouth for a while. -
