  The monomer that forms the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) polymer is chloroethene, also known as vinyl chloride. The formation of the polymer from its monomers is a process known as addition polymerisation. Unlike condensation polymerisation, no molecules are lost during the formation of PVC, so the mass of the product is retained.
  
  My Chemistry test is this coming week, and Organic Chemistry is included in the topics tested.
