  There's no hidden meaning to it. To answer your question as to why must it be chocolates...well, she likes chocolates so she requested for it.
  
  Be glad that she requested for chocolates and not Mercedes SLK.
  
  Oh...why must you buy it for her in the first place? <- Another possible question that could pop up in your mind.
  
  To answer that, don't buy it for her cos she might be out to scam you of your hard-earned money for her own chocolate pleasure.
  She might be testing you out to see if you also liked her, as in if you buy the chocolate for her means you like her. Another possible scenario could be she's testing her limits to see how far she can go to scam gifts out of you...and gauge your intelligence. If you buy the chocolates for her, it only means that she could request for better items next time around and you'll be regarded as a wussy. So how? how?? how???
