Human Organ Transplant Act

  Hey guys..I just received a letter regarding this Act..Have anyone received this letter before??I checked with my parents and they didn't got this letter before..
  
  If u object to donating ur organs, next time if need organ transplant..U are given the lowest priority..I thought this is all about saving people??Then why must have this high priority and low priority thing ah??
  
  Then if this person objects to donating his organ and if he need a organ transplant in the future and there is one that suits him but his is given the lowest priority and he has to wait wait and wait..Then he died while waiting how??It does make any sense right??

  you cant expect to be given priority of a transplant when you refuses to even donate your organs to others, right?

  i got that letter so very long ago liao. now i've a nice card dat says my corpose will be available for donation to medical and research purproses in my wallet.
  
  i don't mind, didn't even give a second thought.

  But it is very hard to find a compatible one ah??Then if that person who never donate is compatible with the one available and he has to wait for those with top priority to test first then get his turn..But that time, he might have already die ah..
  
  I know donating the organs is doing good for people..But as a chinese, the older generation will have this belief of donating the organs and died without a complete body..Si wu quan shi..

  and i've got the card too, and it is in my purse. i opt for donation and for research purposes as well. die already need the corpse for what, need the organs for what?
  
  you can either choose to mail back the form to opt in, then you will recv the card. if not if you want to opt out you have to mail back too. or you will be considered as automatically opted-in.
  
  and you will recv the letter when you turn 21. at least that's when i recv and that's when my friends recv too. but most people choose to auto opt in.

  chinese mostly thinks this way, but those are the older generation ar... you can begin to think differently and do good even after you have died.

  well, you can pledge in anytime, also can opt out anytime. no rush lor, think thru it and weigh values and things like tt... but hor but hor... dont zek ark go and opt in then just before you die (taking as will die natural death la) go opt out leh!!

  i would say No organ transplanted to me. coz whats the use saving myself who is going to die soon anyway

  i mean natural death means dying of old age right??And old age means the organs will not be in good condition wat..So what is the point of donating it out when it might cause some implications to the receipent??

  hard to say mah... let's say your body is failing you but you have perfect eyesight all your life. then can still donate cornea mah... anyway, if i am not wrong, myopia or lao hua doesnt affect cornea...
