i need help again!!!...this time maths...
1. given A(1,2), B(2,-3) and C(6,1). show that AB=AC. find the coordinates of the midpoint of AC. if the figure ABCD is a rhombus. find the coordinates of D.
2. the points A(6,7), B(0,1) and C(9,4) are vertices of a triangle. find the length AB and the area of the traingle ABC and hence obtain the perpendicular distance from C to the line AB -

Coordinates for mid point of AC= (6+1)/2 , (1+2)/2
= (7/2 , 3/2 )
ABCD is a rhombus. AB=CD, AD=BC
Use the formula that will help you to find the distance between AB. Use substituition an equate it to CD. -

ok la.. still can rmb abit from last time...
1) midpt juz use (x1+x2)/2 , (y1+y2)/2
then the midpt of AC = midpt of BD.. then u go work out urself lo...
2) length of line u go check textbk for formula lo.. but wht i rmb is sqroot of [(x1-x2)sq + (y1-y2)sq]
then u go use the cosine rule to find any angle then u use another formula again to find the triangle lo... think is 1/2(ab)SinC
then perpendicular dist tht qn.. u go draw out then u will c a right angle triangle.. then u go use the sin, cos and tan to find lo..
