  I was browsing theu some old photos of my teens happened to take in Ngee Ann city at around 1995..
  
  I was asking because for its time the whole concept looks advanced...i am not sure but at this time of the 90s, buliding architecture began to undergo a major overhaul in design concept...It was no longer the boring 80s styled Lucky Plaza kind of thing anymore

  what i heard was....
  ngee ann city was built on land which was previously a graveyard.
  and this was the reason why ngee ann city is purposely shaped like a tomb
