Would you pay for expensive medicine?

  The BBC reported a story in the UK recently about a woman who had breast cancer. There is an expensive drug that has shown promise in clinical trials that may increase her chances of survival, but at the moment this drug is only available free for those with more advanced disease. In order to get this drug, she sold her house to give herself the best chance of a cure.
  
  In Singapore, most patients do not get this medicine 'cos they cannot afford it and the government would not subsidize it...Would you sell your flat to buy medicine but would you rather die than be a burden to your family?

  Insurance policies also got limits...most policies will pay for hospitalisation but not medication that costs $2000 a month for goodness knows how long you need it, depending on how long you live. Maybe euthanasia should be made legal in Singapore....I dun want to be a burden to others..

  Don't need euthanasia to be legalised. So many tall buildings in Singapore, just pick one and jump off will do

  euthanasia is for people who are no longer mobile. if you can still jump off on your own then euthanasia is not for you.

  There is an expensive cancer drug costing more than $100 per pill.
  Very effective for shrinking tumours.
  I will only pay if I am young & also if I have the finances.
  
  If I am in my 70s, then no point in prolonging my life cos everyone has to die.
  Also the family will have to bear the burden of high medical bills.
